WBBL 2022 Schedule: If you are a women’s cricket fan, the upcoming Big Bash League of 2022 is something you must be waiting for a long time. This season’s league is the 8th season of women’s bbl. The upcoming tournament is scheduled to be held from October 13, 2022, to November 27, 2022. There will be 59 matches played in total. The Women’s Big Bash League, also known as the WBBL, was first held in 2015-16. It is the Australian women’s domestic Twenty20 cricket competition. The matches generally take place between October to November. The WBBL is played in a T20 format. Like the IPL held in India, it features domestic and foreign players similar to the IPL League. Women’s BBL 2022-23 will feature eight teams. The teams of BBL represent different cities in Australia. Each team of BBL is to be made of 15 active players. Each team can sign up to 5’ marquee players’. A maximum of three overseas players is allowed per team.

Today, Sydney Sixers have been the most successful team in the Women’s Big Bash League. They have won the League 3 times out of the seven before. Sydney Sixers also won the 6th edition of WBBL, i.e. 2021.
Over time, Women’s BBL has also gained quite a popularity even after running alongside the original BBL. ESPNcricinfo called the inaugural session of the League “the tournament that kick-started a renaissance.”
The WBBL 2022 Schedule was officially released on July 8, 2022, mentioning that it is subject to change in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. WBBL 08 will feature a 56-match double round-robin, followed by a final series amongst the top four qualifiers. Seven Sports and Fox Sports will do WBBL live streaming. Tickets and memberships for the matches will be on sale in the upcoming months.
